THE BASIC PRINCIPLES
We all have different perceptions of reality but inside the heart of each of us, there is one true reality that connects us to ourselves and each other regardless of our differences, and the more we align ourselves with it, the happier, healthier, more prosperous and more connected we become.

We are part of the natural world where there aren’t any punishments and rewards, right and wrong or success and failure. There are only choices and consequences, and we all make choices according to what we believe, which creates everything in our lives, every experience we have and everyone in them.

When we have false perceptions and beliefs, we make unhealthy choices physically, financially and mentally to support the beliefs we have. These beliefs come from misunderstanding the real meaning of our past experiences and what we’ve been taught.

The connection we have to our perceptions and beliefs is the way we feel. Our feelings are not a reaction to what is said to us or what is happening to us but a reaction to what we believe. Uncomfortable feelings are nature’s way of trying to correct our false perceptions and beliefs so we aren’t destructive to ourselves, others or the world we live in.

We cannot judge anyone else because it is impossible to know how anyone else really feels, and when we blame something or someone else for the way we feel, we give away the power and control we have over our own lives. We are not responsible for anyone else’s beliefs and choices and we can’t change them, we can only change our own and how we react or relate to theirs.

Our thoughts are connected to the beliefs we have. They help us understand where we need to look when we do feel any emotional discomfort.

We don’t have negative or positive thoughts or experiences; they are just thoughts or experiences that justify the beliefs we have and the choices we make.

Living with many false perceptions and beliefs is like walking around in a dark room. We become consumed with fear, confusion and grief and unable to make decisions. We can’t see who we are, where we are or who we are with and at times it seems impossible to find a way out. Recognising any false perceptions or beliefs we have, then finding and accepting the truth is like turning on a light. The clarity we gain brings us immediately to a place of peace and true happiness and it enables us to make healthy choices that don’t cause us or anyone else harm.
